Programming Note: Re-enacting the Battle
We did a YouTube...and we realize that's probably not the right way to say that.
Hi everyone—
Just wanted to stop by to share some Project 3.18 multimedia fun that dropped today.
A chance encounter in baseball Reddit brought us together with the media-savvy and usually mononymic1 Gordon, creator and host of The Athlete Archives show on YouTube (and Spotify, if you prefer to listen—hey, we’ve done it).
Gordon had read our January output and thought it would be fun to do the epic “Battle of Atlanta” for his show, and a few weeks ago we did just that.
Our host has crafted a terrific little documentary, including some of the existing film of the extracurriculars at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, and we had a lot of fun being the featured talking head.
We know you’ll enjoy this time-based take the 1984 super-brawl, and if you’ve been holding off on the Battle of Atlanta until it came out on video, the Athlete Archives have you covered today.
As you can see, we’re hot out of the gate chasing our One-Year-Anniversary resolution to do more dialogues in 2025. Hopefully Gordon will have us back again sometime.
See you Monday with a new story—bring a helmet.
Real word. “Having or being known by a single name.” Like Rihanna.
It’s nice to see a comprehensive retelling of that classic. And, kudos on making it to the end, without being ejected yourself. . .
Paul, what a great experience it was to talk with you!
I definitely would love to have you back. You let me know when you want to and I will be ready.
Can't wait to see how the book develops.
